David Grande, MD, MPA, University of Pennsylvania

David Grande FinalDavid Grande is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, a Senior Fellow and Director of Policy at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, and an Associate Program Director of the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Grande’s research and work focuses on health care for vulnerable populations and on medical professionalism. His research examines cost and other barriers to care and approaches to improving outcomes. He is a periodic contributor to Health Cents, a blog at Philly.com focused on how changes to health policy impact consumers. Dr. Grande attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine.  He trained in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Following his clinical training, he completed a Master’s in Public Affairs (MPA) at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and was then a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health & Society Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
